Sorry - another wide leg jeans one

Can anyone wave a magic wand? I love a wide leg jean. I'm a big bugger (size 20 in jeans), and I'm quite long-legged, so I do feel comfortable in these.

However....here's the problem. It seems that if you are over a size 16 and want wide legged jeans, it's assumed you have massive, great big thunder thighs. I've searched high and low for some that fit just a big snugger on the thighs, without success.

My niece had some lovely soft, stretchy ones from M&S which looked great, and quite thigh-hugging. I ordered them in a size 20 and yep, the thighs are flapping around like a duvet cover on the washing line.

I'm not a fan of heavy, rigid denim, so would prefer something lighter/softer too. Does a wider-leg jean exist that meets my fussy criteria?

Levi’s cinch baggy jeans are a nice lightweight denim. I’m not sure if you’d like how they fit at the thigh though.

Would flares be better? Fitted in the thighs and wider down the leg? I have the opposite problem - size 10 with thunder thighs so find some wide legs too clingy when moving around.

I have similar problems finding jeans that fit on the hips and thighs, everything looks like clown pants on me.

Thanks everyone. I keep looking at Halara ones, but judging by the huge amount that appear for sale as 'nearly new' or 'worn once' on Vinted, I wondered if they're not as good as I thought!
