Collagen sticks - any good?

I keep seeing marketing on Facebook and Instagram for collagen sticks.
Has anyone tried one?
Do they actually work?

Collagen is a protein. Why would putting protein on top of your skin help the ropes of protein built underneath your skin in the derma? That’s not how connective tissue works (collagen is connective tissue).
