What shoes/boots do you wear with barrel leg jeans?

Just ordered some barrel leg jeans from Next after seeing them in store earlier today (and later deciding I wanted some), they are the shorter ones. Now I a, worried about what shoes or boots will look ok with them? I have quite a few pairs of shoes, trainers and boots so I am hoping I won’t need to buy anything. I have Chelsea style boots, Dr Martens and gazelle trainers. What goes well with them?

I wear Chelsea boots or trainers. I match my socks to my outfit

I’ve seen on a river island advertisement that you shouldn’t wear boots with them. 🤔

Trainers but usually Converse high tops. They neat shape of the Converse just seems to work with them.

I wear chunky boots with mine in winter but I always roll the ankle up a bit . In spring/autumn trainers or low converse. In summer usually Birks .
