I've just registered for a women in tech networking event tomorrow evening (so no time to buy anything). What do people wear to these things? Does tech always equal casual?

It's normally fairly casual I find, but you can never for wrong with jean, nice top and jacket

Depends on what it is and where it is. Drinks in a bar?

It's in the offices of the company organising it. Refreshments provided but not alcohol!

What do you normally wear to work? Generally quite casual (the tech guys in my work always are)? I’d probably go jeans with a thin jumper and a blazer type jacket. Or shortish dress with knee boots maybe.

Work clothes then - whatever you wear to work if you work in an office!

I rarely venture into an office these days but generally jeans and a thin jumper or skinny rib top, maybe a blazer. Sometimes M&S jersey wide leg trousers. Last few times I've worn doc martens. I don't own any dresses that aren't summery/wafty, nothing office suitable.
