Outfit ideas

Hi ladies, hoping i can get some advice. Will be travelling with a newish partner for a wedding weekend for the first time, and we will be staying in a fairly exclusive, elegant London hotel with some formal events planned.
Hoping someone can give me ideas about what is most appropriate to wear, im thinking dresses but not sure what style, or maybe pleated skirt and silk blouse and heels for daytime.
Im hoping for some advice about outfit ideas that are elegant and classy but still quite sexy, I dont want to look stuffy or but definitely dont want to feel underdressed either.
Also some ideas for more formal dining and what style dress I should wear, outfit ideas or brands I should check out.
Im early 40s for reference, size 10.

So what’s your usual style? Where do you shop? And what sort of budget do you have for new things?

I mean, you’re surely not planning on buying an entire new three day wardrobe? Won’t it be a question of adding one or two key pieces to what you already own, to suit the particular events you’ll be attending?
