Sezane cardigan

Hello. I’m in love with these Sezane cardigans. Love the buttons and slight ribbed look. I’ve looked on Vinted and they are the same price as new. Can anyone recommend somewhere that does similar? Or do I need to suck up the price as the quality is worth it? Thanks

A good match, same fabric blend, and £20 cheaper.

You could change the buttons yourself or take it to a seamstress.

The burgundy in this is in the sale and extra diacount takes it just below £50, bargain. Only M or L left though.

I had a Gaspard, and will never get the cult like adoration for them. Don’t think the quality is fabulous at all. Sold on Vinted now.

(They come up very large, if you look at buying one second hand.)

ThatRosePanda · 20/01/2026 09:41

Thank you for your help. I’ve found chunky cardigans that I’m going to try with barrel jeans

I like Sezane but the quality has gone downhill and I find the Gaspard underwhelming. It’s also very big

LunaTheCat · 20/01/2026 12:32

Oh that cardigan from Palome is gorgeous!
I have just had a browse around website.
i live in southern hemisphere and don’t deliver
Are they a French company ?

CortieTat · 20/01/2026 13:34

I don’t get the hype around these. I had several Sézane knits, including cardigans and the only good ones I had were Leontine and Ambra, the majority of their cardigans are plastic blends and they are pilling and looking very tired really fast.

I’ve sold mine on vinted, only keeping the Ambra which is a merino and mohair blend without any polyester/polyamide.

I know it's not a cheaper option, but this Palome cardigan is much better value. Lovely thick pure cashmere. Also comes up big.

O that’s beautiful!

Love my Gaspard. I brought it a size smaller than I would normally wear. As previous posters have said they come up big. I tuck mine in. I don’t think they hang that well untucked. It’s a bit itchy when I first put it on but I don’t notice it after a few minutes.
I think it’s a bit like getting a Farrow and Ball dupe - the colour may look the same but the real one just seems to glow.
I don’t mind the synthetic in the blend as it’s there to tie together all those fluffier fibres.

MerylSqueak · 20/01/2026 16:10

Thank you for the link to Palome. Lovely!

I went in to a Sezanne store recently expecting to love everything. I wasn't impressed with the quality for the price and came away empty handed.

WinWhenTheyreSinging · 20/01/2026 16:15

Husband bought me the Palome cardigan in black - it's so nice that I bought the off-white too ...

Heldri · 20/01/2026 16:57

I have this one from Palome which is definitely a dupe of the Sezane Gaspard. It's a little itchy so would need something underneath. Not washed it yet but then I rarely wash my knitwear.

I second recommending Palome. I've got a number of their cashmere pieces and a pair of their jeans - excellent quality and they all wash really well.

Itsnouse · 20/01/2026 19:08

Where do Palome manufacture? I can’t find the details on the website. Might have just missed it.

Corknut · 20/01/2026 20:10

I used to love the gaspard but they changed the buttons and they are just so long. If I were you (I’m a Sézane fanatic) I would go for the emile or othello. I regret going mad for the gaspard and ended up selling them on Vinted.

fucketyfucketyfuckerty · 20/01/2026 20:22

I have one of these sezane cardigans and find it really itchy on my skin, just FYI.

Tiddlywinkly · 20/01/2026 20:49

I had my Gaspard on today and took it off after an hour. It's too itchy.

SurferRona · 20/01/2026 21:17

I just couldn’t make myself buy something which is 25% plastic ☹️

ThePoshUns · 20/01/2026 21:43

I haven’t heard of Palome before, their stuff looks great .

BloodyBoilingInHere · 20/01/2026 22:21

Has anyone seen an affordable dupe for the Sezane Betty cardigan? I love the style but it's too steep a price for me.

I think the Sablon is Palome’s Betty dupe. (They did very clearly set themselves up as making some Sezane dupes.)

I believe the cashmere is manufactured in China. They manufacture all across the world to keep prices down.

WinWhenTheyreSinging · 21/01/2026 10:17

I think all their manufacture is in China (as is at least some of Sezane's). They talk a good talk on sustainability and responsible practices, which is about the same as most clothes manufacturers, I guess.

I am happy enough with that, and am certainly happy with the quality of everything I've bought.
