Everyday jewellery?

Inspired by the current ‘no nonsense tips’ thread I am going to try and start wearing some jewellery. I currently wear an engagement ring and on my other ring finger I wear a ring that used to belong to my grandma. Otherwise I have a few things I wear when I’m going to the office but I want to try and wear a few more pieces. Maybe some earrings I don’t take off plus a bracelet or necklace which is nice but also quite robust… I don’t want to buy cheap rubbish but also need to be cheap enough I don’t worry about them too much. Say £50-100 per item price range. Happy to look 2nd hand if I’ve got an idea of brands to look out for.

what Jewelry are you wearing every day?

I have started this too, I always wear pearl studs and just buy cheap ones from Amazon until they fall apart.

For bracelets and necklaces, I discovered ‘waterproof’ jewellery which doesn’t tarnish so I just keep it on all the time. I have some from Accessorize which work well for me (understated but aiming to look like I’ve got dressed/ made an effort) https://www.accessorize.com/uk/women/jewellery/collections/waterproof-jewellery/ but there are other brands out there which you could look at like D Louise and Milly Grace.

Might be a little over your price range but I really like Monica Vinader.

My every day necklace is a chain with a collection of Diana Porter sibyls that I have built up over the years. Choose a word meaningful to you & carry it with you through your day.

thank you but I’m not massively into gold (yellow gold), especially for every day, so there’s not too much on here for me. I have looked before as I know it’s quite popular.

I wear:
Diamond studs
Pandora bracelet with half a dozen charms
Two other gold bracelets, mixed colour
Georg Jenson necklace
Three rings on my wedding finger
One ring on other hand, currently a cabochon sapphire
Watch

I'll sub in and out for occasions but that's my base.

I wear a Tiffany & Co necklace all the time, only take it off if swapping for gold jewellery. I like Monica Vinader stuff like previous poster.

TeaRoseTallulah · 18/01/2026 22:58

I wear silver ,mostly John Taylor Garland and Jeremy Heber.

SueblueNZ · 18/01/2026 23:16

Mine is all sterling silver.
Only one ring on ring finger of each hand. One I designed and had made to incorporate three diamonds I had; very unique and I love it. The other is a fairly heavy Russian wedding ring (three intertwined bands). I have loads of other silver rings but these are the two I have consistently worn for years.
I have one light bangle on left arm which I wear with my only watch (silver with some gold). On the other wrist I wear five interesting bracelets. These pieces never ever come off.
I always wear a silver chain - either a light weight one with a small pendant that I occasionally change, or a heavier chain with a feature closure so nothing threaded onto it.
Having had my ears pieced 50 years ago, I tore one ear and had it surgically repaired. Since then I had my lobes re-pieced and tried and tried to wear earrings again. Even tried a variety of modern clip-ons. Now I don't bother with earrings.
That's me. I love the variety and price of silver since, selling off all my gold jewellery about 30 years ago. My jewellery is worn 24/7 and never removed.
