Bob haircuts

I've noticed bobs are 'in'. How do you know if you've got the right face shape / hair type?

Or is there a bob out there for everyone?

I'm mid 50's
Very thick wavy hair (think lions mane)
Oval shape head (and big)
Not jowley (yet)

Thick wavy hair won’t sit in a bob?

Have a search on Pinterest and see if anyone has your face/head shape. Save some ideas and consult a good hairdresser - someone used to working with your type of hair.

A graduated bob might suit you, rather than the same length all the way round. A “messy” style, rather than aiming for smooth hair and perfect length all round.

I think the risk is you'll look like you've done a DIY haircut with kitchen scissors and then been electrocuted.

I have thick hair with a wave and have never found a bob that looks good. I tend to keep mine longer, with layers and don't try to make it look "neat" as it just won't behave!
