Very pale yellow

I know what to wear to a wedding is polarising, but I’m going to wedding in May (ceremony and evening do).
Im of a mind to wear a pastel 3 piece trouser suit and have found this one which I like but is it too close to the ‘you can’t wear white to a wedding’ stance

Personally I’m of the opinion that if you think there’s any chance it could be seen as ‘too close to white’, just don’t take that risk. There’s literally any other colour you could wear. If there’s even a chance it will upset the bride, why would you want to do that. Don’t risk it.

Pale yellow will look great with a tan, and will be fine for a wedding. Where is the outfit from?

I’ve found it on albaray, which I’ve not bought from before… that’s another post and another question!!

I’ll never upstage the bride - she’s 30 years younger than me and beautiful!! I like pastel colours and they generally suit me. I found this and love this too but again it’s white?!

Trouser suit! Much better than the top and skirt IMO and not only because of the ‘don’t wear white to a wedding’. The skirt outfit is a bit nothing and if it’s actually a dress, then the top and bottom look mismatched.

Albaray is sold on the John Lewis website. Their own direct TrustPilot reviews complain about returns but it looks fine.

Personally I think the pale yellow is too pale. In photos it would draw the eye as it’s so light. But if you’re unlikely to be in any family group photos then it might be less of an issue. Another pastel colour would probably be better though.

It depends on how it looks IRL. The colour I’m seeing on screen would be too close to white for me, but it’s so difficult to tell online.

The first outfit is much better than the second IF it is obviously yellow.

Lovely outfit and I would wear it. I’d take it down a notch with camel/tan shoes and bag.

On the Next website, the Albaray trouser suit outfit is described as "cream" and not pale yellow. 🤔

Looks more like cream to me than yellow. I really like it though - do they have any different colour ways?
