Do you think your moisturiser "disappears' ''dissolves" ?

I guess this only noticeable in jars and not tubes...
Noticed this a few times that the amount of product seems to reduce (and just due to use by me) and especially towards the end of a jar - it really picks up speed..

I opened a jar of moisturiser 3 weeks ago (big pot, supposedly good stuff - Elemis) and I only use it in the morning, a little bit, I don't have a massive face. Already half way through...

And there's no one in my house into face care to nick some.

I have only ever noticed this once and it turned out to be DS (18) who had decided to up his skin game and helped himself to my moisturiser! If the jar is properly sealed after each use I can't see how it could evaporate or anything so if someone else definitely isn't using it then it's very odd.

No, only when DH nicks it.

LiveLuvLaugh · 14/01/2026 07:08

Does it lose water content through evaporation?

CrackSpackle · 14/01/2026 07:09

Try hiding it. Seriously.

FancyCatSlave · 14/01/2026 07:16

This does not happen to me.

TheHumanRepresentative · 14/01/2026 07:21

Weigh it before and after each use.

Never happened to me and I’ve used the Elemis in a pot. If anything they last forever. Most likely you’ve got someone with sticky fingers.
