Comfy work trousers - a step up from jeans

I need some black work trousers. Not formal but also not jeans.
I am at an age where I like to be comfortable so want them to be soft.
I keep seeing Halara being advertised.
Any recommendations please?

M&S chinos come in black I think.

Next wide leg jersey jeans. Very comfortable but do not look like jeans at all!

H&M wide leg trousers are nice but I have found mine have all shrunk a bit lengthwise. Maybe be careful washing them!

I love my Halara trousers. Look smart but feel like joggers. So comfy and warm!

Ninepines are fabulous. Not cheap but smart and comfortable.

I have a nice pair of black cotton trousers from Hobbs - slightly thinner than jeans, same type of cut.

I have some really nice and comfy o es from Whistles. Not cheap but wash well and can be dressed up or down - were worth every penny!
