Top to wear with jeans for going out - not super-dressy

Looking for a top to wear with jeans. Something special but not too dressy that I could wear to gigs etc. without looking over-done. Bright colour like teal, emerald green, electric blue etc. or multi-coloured/patterned. My taste is fairly quirky rather than skimpy or super-smart... White Stuff/FatFace/Oliver Bonas etc. Not too skimpy but not high-necked either (square neck, slash neck, scoop neck, v-neck are all fine). Prefer natural-ish fibres rather than polyester (cotton mix/viscose/silk mix or whatever).

Unfortunately, you’re asking for almost the impossible. Nearly everything is high necked and/or in nasty fabrics.

Fatface and Zara usually do pretty broderie tops in the summer, but finding anything for winter is really tricky.

People often suggest button down silk shirts but most of them don’t suit me as they’re too long untucked and I look awful with things tucked in.j

Do you like Monsoon? They have some nice tops in the sale. I won’t pick any out because I’m not sure anything specifically meets your requirements, but it might be worth having a quick look.

I got a really nice one from jaeger at M&S, it's got a slashed neck and some kind of ruching, lovely thick jersey. Very flattering, makes jeans look glam without being over the top x

This is in the Toast sale, you could put a long sleeved t-shirt under for warmth if needed. They've got some other nice tops in the sale too. Any good?

True to size in tops and dresses I’d say - trousers are on the long side and don’t work if you’re under 5”5!

I understand why I find it so bloody difficult. I don’t like anything that’s been linked to so far, or not for me anyway. I’m sure others look lovely in them.

I go to loads of gigs and live music. Always on the look out for something a bit edgy. I've got my eye on this but it's a lot of money for a fancy t-shirt..

Decided against... I went into my local branch and the quality didn't seem good enough for the price, but thank you for posting, I'm now searching vinted for something from Free People and there are a few nice things!

I really struggle to find interesting tops too, everything is high necked and polyester. I find George pretty good in summer, but nothing at the moment.

Damn. It looks lovely online. But 78 quid is a bit steep!
