I lead a life where I very rarely need to dress up . But I love to wear nice good quality clothing, I’ve been browsing online and come across varley which looks just what I’m looking for . So the reviews look positive , but just wondering any opinions on here . Also I’m 46 size 10 5,5 which size should I go for ? And any other similar brands around ? Thanks

I’ve had a half zip sweatshirt style top from there. Incredibly soft and feels nice to throw on. I’ve been careful with washing but the fabric did start to pill after the first wear which was disappointing for the price but quite common for that kind of item.

Hi @spring1979 I am the same - mid-40s, WFH, spend a lot of time in the gym or hiking in the countryside. So lots of fashion (eg wide leg trousers) doesn’t work for my lifestyle. And I very rarely go out out!

Prior to 2020 I worked in the City so had a wardrobe full of smart / glamorous clothes. I have had to completely rebuild by wardrobe.

I have some Varley sports bras and leggings which are fine as loungewear but I don’t find them supportive/ secure enough for actual sports. I like Varley as loungewear / casual wear though.

I also like Acai , an outdoorsy brand

I also like Passenger which just fits my lifestyle perfectly. Annoyingly for me though, it seems to have been adopted by all the middle class middle age parents around here which puts me off buying any more as I don’t like to be the same as everyone else!

Other brands maybe Finisterre

I also have some (non-cycling) stuff from cycling brand Rapha

Thanks . Yes I’ve got a couple of leggings from açai , but I’ll take a look at passenger . (Not popular round here yet ! )
my lifestyle is very casual outdoors but I love making an effort .
That’s disappointing the sweaters piling .
Ive been looking at the waist bags too as I’m sick of stuffing things in my pockets.
I did buy a Holland and cooper fleece in khaki but I find the rest of what on offer a bit blingy .

If you look at Amanda Wakeleys Friday Night Fashion series on YouTube she has just done a look around the Varley store on the Kings rd with discussions and try ons, might be of interest

@spring1979 I’m 5”8 size 10 but broad shoulders and Passenger medium is perfect on me
