Boys clothing help!!

My little boy just turned 4 but he's in age 5/6 clothes, and I'm suddenly struggling to dress him. We are at the age now where he seems to be at a birthday party every weekend and he sees the girls in their sparkly dresses and tutus and fairy wings etc he says he wants something like that 'but for boys' I've told him he can absolutely wear a tutu if he wants to, I'm not bothered he can wear whatever makes him happy. But he specifically says he wants 'fancy boys clothes'. Basically I'm trying to find fun party wear for boys that's not just a shirt and trousers. He has a super hero cape that I bought some metallic thread and embroidered little stars and things on. And I've bought a blue shirt that I'm going to do the same with. But I'm just wondering if anyone knows something I don't in terms of where to buy fun boys clothes? He loves things like Dino spikes on his wellies, animal ears on his hats, he has a gruffalo coat with the purple prickles all over it that he loves.
In general I love m&s and next for his every day wear but I think he's possibly just outgrown all the cute toddler stuff 😢

I think you might be right. My son is 17 now, but I remember that boy’s clothes stopped being cute around age 4/5, and turned into shades of sludge. H&M and Asda had occassional gems in larger sizes, but as I say, that was over 10 years ago.

What about something like this - Buy Multi Star Print Printed Pull On Wide Trousers (3mths-7yrs) from the Next UK online shop or this - Childrens Unisex Oversized Pinstripe Pants. Only go up to 7 years though!

This jumper is fun - Lenny Knitted Jumper A lot of organic clothes brands (Frugi, Kite etc) do colourful clothes up to 10-11 years.

Dotty Dungarees are quite pricey but you can size up and then just roll up the legs. I love the patchwork ones - Dotty's Signature Patchworks – Dotty Dungarees Ltd

Both my kids (boy and girl) love Mimi and Lula - Dress Up – Mimi & Lula

Hope that helps :) If not, try googling variations of "jazzy kids clothes"

A sequin waistcoat/ sequin hat and possibly bow tie? You‘ll be looking at a dance clothes supplier, I got a sequin waistcoat via one selling on eBay for a disco outfit for DS when he was younger.

Mountain warehouse used to do boys tshirts and tops in more interesting colours, and with interesting things kn - rather than your standard boring colours and njnjago/marvel/ dinosaur tops (although some of those were ok). And next is worth a look.

Boden sometimes have some nice boys things, it was a while ago but I bought a lot for DS when he was small from there
