Beauty gadgets that actually work

I was given some money at Christmas to treat myself and I really want to invest in something for my skin. I’m 40 and at the moment use tret, moisturiser and SPF 50 daily. I’ve looked at LED masks, wands, collegen supplements etc but wondered if anyone on here could shed light on if they actually work (or recommend something else that does). I’m patient and get that results don’t happen overnight.

Im not going down the route of injectables and would like something I can use at home. My main skin concerns are preventing/minimising lines and sagging (I think I’m going to be jowly 😫) thanks for an advice or recommendations you can share!

I've just started using an LED mask. It's too soon to say if it helps with your main concerns (which are the same as mine) but my skin does look and feel nicer than usual after just two uses. Apparently, this is likely to be a real effect from increased circulation but you need six plus weeks to see real anti-aging effects. I'll be interested to hear from people who've been using these for longer!

I use the ziip halo - I found that one eye brown was definitely lower than the other but using the ziip has evened me up. I’m 57 and I think it is helping keep my skin toned - it also takes 4 mins which for me means that I do it nearly every day! Have a very expensive led thing but never use it

Thank you everyone - these sound interesting. Particularly the halo one as I like the sound of only 4 minutes!

Should have said, mine is the CurrentBody one, I also have the chest/neck version. It takes 10 minutes, which is fine but I wouldn't want any longer (I get bored and have limited spare time).

I have the Shark LED mask. 6 mins a day. It’s great!

Thanks for the suggestions - I’m now looking into the difference between LED masks and micro current devices. Very mixed reviews on which is more effective! The ziip halo and shark mask are front runners at the moment.

I've been using an LED mask for two years. My skin is brighter and clearer. It's definitely not a miracle worker but I wouldn't be without it.
