Do these dip pot manicure things work?

I work with horses part time but in an office the rest of the time and I can't seem to have decent nails.
I can't afford to get extensions done as they would need re doing every week. I currently varnish them with gel polish but it only lasts a day.

I’ve tried it, very trickery to get smooth and neat. I wear press ons now. Gels and acrylic absolutely ruined my nails and I wasn’t a ‘constant’ wearer, just like having them done a few times a year. Press ons are cheap, no where near as damaging, and quick to take off and put on.
