Eyebrow tattoo removal

Hi everyone.

I had powder brow tattoo a few years ago and then micro blading over the top. The tattooist also created a new shape to the tail of my eyebrows - one that curved down so the tail part droops down.

i would really like the tail part of my eyebrow removed so i can have a straighter shape.

I’ve booked in for laser removal tomorrow but im feeling quite scared about it now!

has anyone had this done before? Can anyone share any experiences?

thanks!

Reddit has sub dedicated to microblading removal with thousands of pictures. https://www.reddit.com/r/MicrobladingRemoval/ you don’t need to be a member to read, but if you want to post, you will have to get an account. Free.

My micro blading only lasted for a few months

MiniCoopers · 08/01/2026 06:33

I’ve had them removed before, it was a very quick process, not particularly painful. It was a laser and it gave quick little bursts and almost ‘burnt’ off the colour. Do you know how it’s being done?

alwaysstressed · 08/01/2026 06:44

Yeah ive had my microbladed eyebrows removed with laser. It took 4 rounds to finally get it away.

Im not going to lie its fucking sore! Its very nippy and hot and at points I could smell burning.
But the positive is that its over so quickly that it makes it bearable.
I just gritted my teeth for the maybe 10 seconds it took, actually she gave me a stress ball to squeeze.

And no microblading doesn’t just last a few months. It’s basically a tattoo on your face, it fades but never actually goes away. It’s the worst decision I ever made to get them done in the first place.

Be brave you got this!

Does the laser treatment not leave a scar?

Twiglets1 · 08/01/2026 06:53

I’ve had it done it was very quick. I could cope with it and I’m a bit of a baby pain-wise. You will be fine @Beachlovingirl

No.

No.

That’s good to know, thank you. I don’t know why, but I assumed it would do figured there would be no point having it done.

To anyone considering having it done in the first place, sister had it 20 years ago and now, in her 70s, even she agrees they stand out like a sore thumb and the pull of gravity hasn't helped!

Beachlovingirl · 08/01/2026 08:42

Thanks everyone for replying!
it would be using a laser and thanks @Payakan for the Reddit link - lots of people there have had it done.

as it happens it was snowing so much I had to move the appointment to next week!

Hey everyone I wanted to give an update.

I had a patch test first where she took off a bit of the brow I wanted removed to see how that went.

The process was strange as you put on these glasses and they are black plastic so you are totally blind. But the laser was fine. Like an elastic band being snapped at you pretty hard but in a flash it is done.

what I’m left with now is a red colour where the ink was. I’ve been told this will change and fade. I had the patch test Tuesday and it’s now Friday and the red is still there but not as bright and easily covered by a light dab of make up - it isn’t sore at all.

I am having more removed on this Tuesday coming so will post again then.

Don’t worry about the redness, it will fade over the next few days/weeks.

Thank you @Twiglets1 ! I’m just wondering if I have the rest done will I look very odd for a bit. I have a business trip in Feb so ideally I don’t have any strange red patches for that 🙂

The redness will not be apparent by Feb (in my experience).
