Nail care & polish

DD 13 wants nice nails and doesn't know where to start. I am not much help as my nails are kept short and clean with a normal nail clipper due to my job.
I'd like to kit her out with a decent nail care set and some good polishes. I have seen Essie mentioned on here. She likes a neutral polish which she can get away with at school (light pink, sheer, natural looking).

Is the Dior one any good? https://www.boots.com/dior-vernis-nail-glow-beautiyfing-nail-care-instant-french-manicure-effect-10333691 or are you just paying for the name?

Any pointers or links to nail care sets and or polishes would be very appreciated.

Dd liked Essie(she's like you now op). I recently tried Manicurist Active range and it stayed on for ages. Its vegan and green and they do various shades of sheer tinted polishes. Its not cheap but cheaper than dior. There's some starter kit on their site(but they're available on other sites)Active Range | Manucurist https://share.google/7xgijlNZZpVV0gHlT

I agree and I'd highly recommend the Acai Nail Elixir for the exact sort of colour you want Smile https://www.nailberry.co.uk/products/acai-nail-elixir?

Second that

OPI nail envy is great and comes in neutral shades, bubble bath is popular.

Honestly go and have a look at the Essence range. I believe you can buy it in Primark. I have a vast selection now as I decided to do my own. They have such a nice range of colours including more nude ones, and what I like most is the brush. It has to be one of the best brushes out of my whole collection.
And they last well. She will need to do the base coat and the top coat to get a decent amount of staying power. I have Essence on at the moment and I did these a few days before Christmas and they haven't chipped yet.

I have the cuticle remover and the cuticle oil from this range too. And they are so reasonably priced.

The Essie Couture range is so good. I bought a wine colour over black Friday and going t lol get the light pink. The top coat has a professional sheen and really lasts :)

oh, nailberry also looks nice, I was just about to order this

Not sure now 😍

I didn’t get on with that brand, it didn’t apply easily, don’t last long, very matt finish, needed multiple coats…. Just not for me.

Nailberry is easy, lasts longer than anything else I have found and my nails always look in better condition when I remove it than they were before hand. I also use their remover.

I use Perfect Formula, it protects and cares for your nail and makes the pink look pinker and the white look whiter, A little like a French polish but just with a couple of sweeps with the brush.

Might give nailberry a go. Does anyone know which of the pinkish colours looks most natural and discrete? DD would like to use it at school.
