Versatile backpack

36F looking for a versatile backpack that is stylish and doesn’t scream MUM. Two kids, 8yo and 6mo.

We have some long haul trips this year so I’m looking for a backpack that’s practical enough to use on a flight (8h+) but also small enough to use as a day bag when we’re away (NYC and Disney) so long days.

On flights we will all have a bag so baby will have his changing bag, 8yo will have a bag with his stuff but needs to fit ideally a change of pants / T-shirt for me and baby, small toiletry bag, additional stuff for baby that won’t fit in changing bag eg toys we want to take plus bits for me, iPad/book (optimistic I know), water bottle etc etc. Husband also has his own backpack.

I’ve currently got a pink fjallraven which I love but it’s not amazingly practical for things like getting passports etc out in a hurry. Also possibly a bit smaller than what I’m thinking for this trip.

I liked the look of the Olend Holden backpack but it doesn’t look much bigger than the fjallraven and also I’m not sure it’ll be any more practical trying to find stuff in it.

Self confessed bag junkie so open to a range of budgets. Just want it to be stylish and practical…does such a thing exist??

I’d look at ones with padded straps and a vented back for comfort.

This Fjallraven is roomy at 28l and has plenty of pockets:

Not sure if this hits the stylish brief though (I use a Lowe Alpine or Rab day pack for hand luggage and as an everyday backpack).

Roka do good sized backpacks with handy zipped pockets, but I find the lack of padding on the strap and the unvented back makes them uncomfortable anywhere warm. The Finchley model in large has a 20l capacity.
