Just wondered if anyone has had one of these and if so did you find it useful / would you recommend it? For context I have lost my way with makeup and need to totally restock my makeup bag and improve some of my techniques.

I'm following as I'm in a very similar position

I have looked into a make up lesson from an MUA but these are quite expensive. Even with the paid service at JL you can redeem some back on products.

I think it very much depends on the consultant. I occasionally have consultations for a refresh, Bobbi Brown at Selfridges and their old shop in Covent Garden, Space NK, Chanel at a few London stores, including with a beauty journalist. John Lewis has also done some online beauty week events in the past. If you have the time you could book in with a few different brands e.g. Bobbi Brown, Armani or Lisa Eldridge for a great foundation. I don’t think you need to buy everything from one company all at the same time. I’m in my sixties, but I know lots of younger women rate Sephora for their in-store services too.
