Moisturiser recommendation

My skincare routine is wash my face with a face wash (usually Simple) in the shower, use miscellar water, then moisturiser. Then at the end of the day, cleanse with miscellar water again. I'm 38 and this is the routine I've had for as long as I can remember. I've been using Simple light day moisturiser for several years now but I've noticed over the last few weeks that my skin is getting dry quite quickly during the day, and I've been wondering if I need to start using something different.

Drop miscellar water and get a proper cleanser, this will be drying your skin. It's for occasional use like travel or overnight not regular.
if you like the light moisturiser, do they do a standard or rich? you could try that. Or add in a gentle oil.

I'd highly recommend The Inkey List products. I love the Niacinamide serum and Bio active ceramide repairing and plumping moisturiser. They are both fragrance free and they are the only products I've found (in 46 years) that I can also use at night without aggravating my very sensitive eyes.
If you go on to their website there is a skin concerns questionnaire to take that will recommend the most suitable products based on your need.
It's also often on offer either via their own website, Amazon, Look Fantastic & Sephora (sometimes Boots too but the offers aren't great).

I use the Bioderma Sensibio H2O sensitive micellar water in the evenings before moisturising etc.

You may need to start using a heavier moisturiser in the winter months. I rate Drunk Elephant Lala retro and Sunday Riley CEO rich cream. But there's loads of moisturisers out there which would be better than the light one you currently use. Most of the expensive ones are marketing con crap (I know, I've fallen for it for the past howevermany years. I have good skin but I think it's down to mainly genetics)

I like Clinique’s DDML and their Moisture Surge.

@TMMC1 is right. Micellar water is drying for skin. The only situation I can see myself using it, would be if I went camping (which I don't), and even then I'd probably choose cleansing wipes for convenience.

OP you also mention face wash. That will also be drying. Avoid that, water, gel and foam cleansers. Look for milk, oil or balms. Also expect to change what you use seasonally.
