Hello

I've been using my husbands very ugly but (practical) rucksack to work but I want to get something of my own to fit my work laptop - reading book / phone and small make up bag.

I do like the Longchamp Women's Le Pliage bags but worry it will hurt my shoulder as I have a walk / train commute

thanks all

I've actually been looking they are all brand new and very cheap!

It's the Roka frenzy buying Luck dip !

I like Roka for casual wear but for work I prefer leather and really like my AllSaints Kita. There are quite a few for sale on Vinted at the moment.

I love my Samsonite Zalia! It’s a slim backpack which has a separate laptop section which I use for my Mac, keyboard, mouse and notebook, then a main section which I use for usual handbag stuff, then as front pocket which I use for earphones, mints and phone (when it’s not in my had). It’s perfect for my London commute.

Thank you! I've had mine a good few years and it's holding up very well, too.

I have a Kipling laptop bag, it's really lightweight and not in a hideous print or colour and I've taken the naff monkey off. It fits everything in so I don't need another bag.

I did have a leather laptop bag, which looked nice but once everything was in it it was very heavy.

have tried a million options over the years and recently bought this Samsonite one for travel. it fits my laptop, iPad, cables etc and loops on a suitcase handle. I also like the carry straps as an alternative to the shoulder straps.

i do use a neverfull, Celine tote and a le pliage from time to time but only if I’m in the car - carrying it on my shoulder for any length of time is a killer

Roka Canfield B but get a large one to fit a laptop + work stuff as the medium are quite small.

I love these but why are they so expensive?

Mine has lasted at least 15 years and one strap is just starting to pull away (I bet I can get it fixed though)

TaggieOharasLostBra · 06/01/2026 06:08

What about the Longchamp Le Pliage backpack? It’s now big enough for a laptop. I love mine, it’s so light - a leather bag plus laptop etc would be too heavy for me.

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 06/01/2026 06:21

I have a tan leather backpack from fossil, I love it I’ve had it for years. It’s he bag itself isn’t heavy, all the shit I put in it is!

Southwest12 · 06/01/2026 08:24

I had a Le Pliage bag with me yesterday and it wasn't particularly comfortable after a while. It wasn't overly full either.

I've got a nice navy and cream rucksack from Accessorise. That holds a laptop and other bits and looks nicer than most rucksacks. Was about £40 I think.
