Whilst out in suburbs of London yesterday I saw a woman with short dark hair, a faux fur jacket and some amazing textured nude tights teamed with a short skirt and knee high boots.

On train back I saw a young woman in a tiered faux leather mini skirt and knee high very high boots.

Both looked amazing.

Ooh, I've never owned any knee high boots, and I assumed they were out of fashion now, but it sounds like they might be back in?

I am currently wearing a faux fur coat though. Bought it recently and I absolutely love it, and get loads of compliments on it.

Ooh, love the sound of those looks. Boots, short skirt and faux fur jacket is right up my street (although not too short a skirt these days, lol). Patterned or coloured tights with that look are big now too (although I’m less of a fan of that). Here in Scotland it’s cold just now so anything that looks stylish but also cosy is good with me!

I donated my fake fur jacket a few years ago because it was taking up too much space and I hardly ever wore it. Every cold, dry wintry day (like today) I regret it.

Can anyone tell me more about these textured nude tights? I've been wearing mostly trousers and jeans these last few years so I've not kept up.

I think the nude tights, they weren’t fishnets and probably they were from Calzedonia, H&M or hosiery department of department store.

I’m a size 12/14 but these looks gave me style inspiration.

The nude tights could be a sort of webbed fishnet.

I used to work with someone who wore textured nude, not fishnets, tights. From a distance, it looked as if she had a nasty skin condition, unfortunately.

These were half hidden by the boots though. I think she was English.

I was on a city break & saw a v well dressed woman in her 50s (i guess) in a nice bar. She was wearing an oversized black bomber jacket with black bead work all over it & a midi black pleated skirt & black long leather cowboy boots. She looked elegant & stylish & comfortable.

I saw a woman wearing grey Gazelles, washed black palazzo jeans, a black tie belt oversized pleather jacket and a black wool baseball cap. She looked effortlessly cool.
