I’ve just had my ears pierced at the grand old age of 40! Looking for some recommendations of brands to build a collection of everyday, affordable, durable pieces - no defined style as of yet. I’ve seen lots of shops pop up on instagram especially ones that claim to be comfortable and flat backed. Any recommendations appreciated - thank you

My everyday are close fitting gold hoops known as huggies. They click together and are very secure, comfortable enough to sleep in. Monica vinader does some, my particular ones came from a local jeweller on the high street. I also like screw back earrings, often called labrets, as they are also very comfortable to sleep in and very secure.

have some Monica Vinider mini Huggies but they are a bit too small so get the regular Huggies. They are lovely

I much prefer screw backs or Huggies and they come from my local piercing shop.
