Wedding in a hot country - cool materials other than cotton and linen?

We’re going to a wedding where it is going to be hot. Celebrations run over a few days (pre-wedding dinner; wedding day; post wedding lunch) so will need several outfits. Obviously need to be cool but am concerned that I will look a crumpled mess after a little while in cotton or linen. Plus I’m fairly curvy and find those materials don’t drape too well and aren’t very forgiving.
As I don’t go to many fancy dos in the summer, I’m hoping Vinted is going to be my friend here.
Would welcome thoughts on what sorts of styles you would wear for these events. Am leaning towards dresses, perhaps a maxi for the first dinner? I don’t suit jump suits.
Any help appreciated.

A maxi dress is good. Me+Em perhaps. Silk or I'm starting to be a bit more pro-vicose these days as that's definitely a cool material. Also cheesecloth is OK despite being cotton and won't show creasing too much.

Viscose or silk are also breathable, and will have more of a drape. I would go for long and loose, they last think you want is anything tight. Floaty, but with a belt, if you are curvy. And maybe a linen safari style dress for the lunch.

Look at the style as much as the fabric. Plenty of polyester is still worn in hot countries!

Is there a particular dress code or cultural norm to abide by?

Thank you. I find polyester can smell when you sweat?

No cultural considerations. Wedding itself is just summer wedding attire. No dress code for the dinner / lunch. Was thinking maxi for the dinner maybe, and slightly more casual dress for the lunch.

Btw although I said I would see what I can find on Vinted, I’d be really grateful to links to examples of what you suggest (although I know it’s not the right time to be buying occasion wear for hotter weather! ) I don’t mind buying some new stuff just not all of it as it won’t get worn much again
