Hi

I love the look of the Birkenstock Boston, but I like to have a strap and I can trip a bit , so it’s not a good idea.

I have seen Dr Martens Mules. They look nice and quite a few have straps .
anyone had a pair ?

The ones I’m looking at are Zebzag, Jorge and Carlson .

i want a pair that I can walk lots.

thanks in advance

They’re as heavy as usual dm’s. So uncomfortable! I’m persevering, but it is agony. I would also suggest size down

What about the Tokio Birks? I have them for the strap, super comfy, lightweight etc.

I have the Carlsons in sand, I didn’t think I’d ever put them into sports mode and wanted them to wear as a mule. However I ran around in them with the strap down all last summer. I didn’t find them as heavy as the Dunnet sandals (they’re ridiculously heavy but gorgeous), in fact they were very comfy from day one. Very soft suede so no blisters.

I wish I had got the Zebags instead of the Carlsons though, they just look a bit funkier imo.

i have DM sandals and I found they didn’t need breaking in like usual DMs, but sounds like the mules aren’t as comfy.

I did look at those but I was drawn to the style of the DMs.

The zeebags have some lovely colours . Wonder if one type of DM mule is more comfortable than others .
