What hair trends are on their way in the new year?

Do we think it will still be bobs everywhere or something else new? Just pondering really.

I wish it would. Hardly anyone looks good with a bob haircut. Only famous, beautiful women look good with it. (IMO.)

It's incredible the mullet came back isn't it. I think people will start getting bored of bobs and go for layers or something. Maybe either grow them out or go shorter. It feels like bobs have been big for quite a few years now.

Nothing wrong with a bob! Sleek and straight or tousled /curly if hair a bit ropey! It’s hard work though. I grew mine out about 11 years ago, now have longer, curly hair/straight.

There’s a reason it’s a classic. Because it can be adapted to suit most people if it’s done well

Not sure how it's any worse than puffy lips, weird eyebrows, fake long lashes and the host of other things women do.

I'm bored of seeing most women from 25-40 with long hair in a messy bun.

Nothing wrong with bobs. Just wondered what will be the next big thing.

Thinking about it, I think this style has been on its way out for a little while, I am seeing slicked back styles a lot more frequently.

I’ve seen more and more young girls with short hair recently, which makes me happy.

I think shorter styles will come in. Very long hair on anyone over say 35 will start to go out of fashion. Maybe there will be ‘a haircut’ like we saw with ‘The Rachel’ or the’Purdy’ cut.

Not sure actually, I think it’s been proven long hair does in fact help keep a more youthful appearance.

I heard things about ‘The Rachel’ coming back but haven’t seen anyone with one. It would make sense with the 90s revival but I’m not sure that I could pull it off again.

Black box-dyed long hair on old-enough-to-be-going-grey women will fade away and all black-box dyes will be recalled from the shelves.

I have long curly hair. I can’t follow trends as my hair won’t let me.

Ditto the highly unnatural dark plum colour that suits nobody.

Apparently the indie sleaze bob, such as Lily Allen’s current style, will be a 2026 look. Can’t remember where I read that though.

I want choppy rounded layers to come back in. And side partings!

Sick of all this super long, one length/very long layers, middle part hair that every girl seems to have.

My son currently has that acorn haircut so I’ll be glad to see the back of it!

I think it’s going to be the wolf cut and butterfly cut still, but more mainstream; very layered looks, often with a heavy layered fringe.

So do I, I'm 61, I've had one for 35 years and have no intention of ever changing my style. Better to have a style that suits you and is easy to maintain than follow hair trends.
