Sleeveless top in winter?

I have a works do tomorrow, it's a lunch at a nice pub/restaurant type place. I have a few options but just bought a black sleeveless roll neck and wondering if I can get away with it with a pair of wide leg wool trousers. The neck is very chunky but it is relatively fitted. I tried it on and DH made a comment about summer. It's definitely not a summer top though.

Will it look stupid at the height of winter?
Thanks

Are you eating outside?

No it's inside. It's a gastro pub type place

You have a Christmas day on the 23rd? Blimey

You won’t look stupid but you might get comments about cold arms. I’ve been seeing these kind of knits around and wondered about wearing them in winter. Can you wear a base layer top underneath?

I'm not sure I'd know when to wear a big chunky roll neck with no sleeves!
It kinda defies the rules, doesn't it?😅
