molly - have you tried Clinique? it is allergy tested and when I had eczema all over my face years back, it was the only one that covered and didn't irritate. I used to get a very moisturising one.

IME many foundations are very heavily scented- not good.

Had alook at Chanel today- the ones for normal/dry skin are called satin finish according to the assistant- but they looked very shiny, compared to the Clinique anti-aging one I use which is moisturising, but not shiny.

any comments?

Molly Clinique's new Lash Power mascara is brilliant brilliant brilliant.

Didn't get a chance to get into town today but def. going tomorrow, so I have to make some decisions otherwise I'm gonna be completely confused tomorrow.

I think tinted moisturiser is the best way to go, I've got to choose between Chanel, Dior airbrush, number 7, benefit and Hauschka. Not sure how I'm going to choose. I'm not very confident at these sort of thing and those make up women scare the life out of me - very intimidating.

More than likely going to get Benefit's Erase Paste concealer and clinques new lash power mascara.

Wish me luck for tomorrow!

molly- this is slightly off topic, but did you know that you can get cream from a dermatologist for eczema on the face? it is called Protopic- but you cannot get it from a GP. it is not a steroid.

If you have eczema on your face, you need to be careful of make up with too much perfume in it.

BTW Clinique products are tested on over 600 people, and if one person shows any reaction, they re-formualate.

molly- if your GP has referred you, then you'll have to wait- or pay for a private apppt.

My son has seen a dermo many times for his eczema- the wait on the NHS was going to be 12-18 months, but we went privately and he was seen in a week! Best thing is to find out who youh ave been referred to, then ring their secretary and ask for the waiting times. You could also ask for the cost for a private appt.

girlnextdoor - Did the dermo make a big difference to your son?

Estee Lauder Double Wear light for me,mixed with Barbara Daly radiance fluid,no 7 concealer.

girlnextdoor · 13/06/2008 22:21

molly- yes. As long as he uses the cream, it keeps it away. It doesn't thin your skin like steroids.
