Body shaping tights….help!

I’m a size 14/16 which is uncomfortable for me. I’ve gained weight due to medication and not much of my wardrobe still fits me.

I have a nice midi dress that will do me for Christmas Day but bare legs won’t cut it with the mother and my usual tights just make my spare tyre look horrific.

Any recommendations for some proper suck it in tights - I’m also 5ft 8 so most cut too low.

Snag tights are great and don’t rub and they do all different sizes and colours.

If you plan on eating lots, forget sucking-in tights! Honestly, wear comfy ones and put an underskirt on, or wear something else!

First of all you're coming down on yourself, hard. Im a size 16 and 5'7 down from a size 20.

I know you're not used to.it but don't beat yourself up over something you can't control. I don't wear tights but when I did I found places like Yours or Evans were best.

Hold-up stockings instead of tights?

Or a ‘wear your own bra’ shaping slip which will smooth over your waistline.

Or just buy some tights in a bigger size so they don’t cut in.

I always size up. So marks and Spencer’s velvet touch tights at a size 16 I wore an xl. Never mind about them being shaping they will be uncomfy. Just size up and enjoy Xmas

Heist tights are great. They have a really wide control panel so no tight elastic anywhere. They do a high rise and a mid rise and lots of colours, patterns, deniers. They also do shaping tights which I guess offer firmer control, but it a more limited range (nude & black).
