Hi, I want to get a new coat, Didrikson. I like a parka but there are so many to choose from, Hellesdon, Erica, Erna etc... I want a flattering fit, I'm 50, size 12, 5ft 6" and live on the south coast, UK. TIA

I’ve had a couple and tbh I’ve found them flattering and warm. My top hint is get one with a built in hood as it stays up on the windiest days. The one with the removable hood (Erica / Emma can’t remember) blows down and I need a hat

Thank you

I’ve just recently bought an Erika. I feel the cold, but was really warm in this coat. I wore it last week on a trip up north and despite biting winds and torrential rain, I was warm and dry.
initially I thought I should have I’d sized up to wear another layer but it was plenty warm enough.
I had not problems with the hood.
i shopped around and found a good deal. It wasn’t my first choice of colour but I save a small fortune by “ settling” for a plain black

I bought the Iris last year and love it. I wore it when we were in the Dolomites last March. It is more than warm enough for me here in the West of Scotland. It is fairly lightweight compared to the other one I have.

Names seem to have changed but the other one seems similar to the Erna and is very warm.

My husband's was the warmest weighting and I think it is fairly heavy compared to the Iris which is the second highest weighting. The shop staff were very helpful in giving us info about warmth vs waterproofing.

I would buy a third one.

I have an Aiko which I love - it has a really nice shape, is very warm and being 5ft 3 it pretty much meets my wellies so I’m dry top to toe.
I’ve just got a Danielle too as sometimes the length of the Aiko is just a bit more than I need and I just want more of a jacket?
Similar shape and equally warm, squidgy collar etc
