Ruby and Oscar jewellery

Hi, has anyone bought from this brand please?

Or Dower and hall?

I'm loving some of the pieces on Ruby and Oscar. I'm not really accustomed to jewellery prices - I literally haven't bought any for years - but looking at other sites, I feel as if the sterling silver pieces may be overpriced. Also, there's no video clips and the pictures are very limited.

There's also some pieces I really like on Dower & Hall. The prices certainly seem better.

Something I've been warned about is the clasps are poor quality these days. I might actually ask a local jeweller to fit a safety catch. I have had a couple of situations where I've lost necklaces because they've got caught in a scarf or something.

I'm a bit worried that if I spend money I will be saving everything for best and constantly checking it!

I stupidly got rid of a couple of nice pieces when I was worried about money. I'm really wishing I had kept those - from Links of London - certainly everything seemed good quality then and you could go into a proper shop and have a look. That's very minimal now unless you just stick with local jewellery shops.

Anyway, I would be interested to hear from anyone who has bought from these brands. Or if you have any recommendations for gemstone jewellery?

Wow, that looks very overpriced. £349 or £250 (original prices) for a sterling silver necklace is insane. The sales prices are still really over priced too.

Have you looked on Etsy or not on the high street? You could get a lovely quality piece from a small maker, rather than an over priced mass produced necklace from there. It all looks like the sort of stuff you could get cheaper on Amazon anyway tbh.

Thanks for confirming that

Interestingly, they had very good reviews, until the last month or so

But yes, I really liked some of their designs and I just thought, from what I've looked at, it seems overpriced

glad to have someone confirm it as I haven't really looked at jewellery for a long time
