How would you style this skirt...

... for a daytime (late afternoon) drinks and nibbles party? As in, what sort of top and shoes?

Age 50. Size 10. In winter, but a warm house so I think I'd boil in a relaxed jumper and boots like the model is wearing. I've ordered the skirt in both black and maroon to see which is nicer in person...

Both pairs of shoes are nice and would look great with the skirt. I’d go for the black pointy ones though as they’re probably going to be more wearable for non-party events too.

Depending on how much you want to dress up rather than down, I'd go with a white silk blouse with a bit of billow, black lacy slip/vest underneath (neckline to taste!), and a wide black waist belt. Black pointed toe shoe, maybe the Esskas above.

Not heels. Flat pointy shoes or chunky DMs.
