How to dress my apple-shaped postpartum body and hide my tummy ?

My daughter is almost 1year old and I'm still stuck in maternity clothes. Also, my husband and I recently loved from New York to California so the covering up is more uncomfortable.

I'm now 198 lb at 5 feet 8 inches. I have a big tummy. My breasts barely increased in size. I feel like I don't know how to dress anymore. Can anyone help me ?

I would suggest t shirts that have ruching in the middle, they’re also described as ‘cinched’ or sometimes ‘corset waist’ or ‘hourglass’ or just ‘waisted’. There’s lots on asos, H&M, Zara at the moment. They tend to be roomy at the shoulder and sleeves and the cinched waist really works to hide your tummy, provide extra coverage there and the larger shoulders give you more of an hourglass shape. Then wear comfy trousers or leggings, and the t shirt does all the work. I am apple shaped too and this is really working for me at the moment. A strong shoulder works wonders for balancing a larger middle and that applies to jackets too.

My number one tip is to just buy bigger sized tops. It’s OK to buy size 12 trousers and size 16 or 18 tops. It doesn’t mean you’re a size 16 or 18, it just means you don’t want tight-fitting, which most women’s tops seem to be.
