Interview Help!!

I have an interview for a research role at a university.

What on earth do I wear?

I am late 40s and size 10 to 12.

Current role is as a headteacher of a large secondary school - current wardrobe full of Hobbs, Reiss, Whistles and good old M&S.

This suited and booted look is perfect for that role, but do not think it is right for a uni.

Weekend look is jeans, jumper and boots.

Don’t want to look like an old fuddy duddy!

Help me please!

Your current wardrobe will be fine, worked in Universities for years, it’s a similar environment to most workplaces in that you would dress smartly for an interview and probably smartly day to day (the day to day might be more of a mixture but I would be surprised if your wardrobe working in a school was not spot on!)

Suited and booted is fine for a university interview. I wouldn't dress that smartly day to day but suits are not at all unusual for interviews.
