Pillow creases — does silk help?

Hi,
In my early fifties and a side sleeper. Pillow creases on my face are awful and typically don’t go for hours…
Do silk pillowcases actually help? I’ve seen loads of reviews about helping acne and hair (not bothered myself), but no believable anecdotes about creases. Has anyone got any experience of this? Do they help?

Thanks!

Yes I’d say so. I really like mine. It’s from John Lewis and is nice and cool and also is meant to be better for your hair (and skin) too.

I still get pillow creases but I do think they are less severe with the silk pillowcase. I’m trying really hard to sleep on my back but I always wake up on my side. The creases never go away now, they’re just vertical wrinkles. I’m old.

I have found a satin finish to be MUCH better for this than silk TBH, and would never go back to cotton/cotton mix. I used to have terrible pillow creases and don’t get them at all now (side sleeper too).

I started using them for my hair and have definitely noticed reduced creasing too. I prefer them so much I even have one I take on holiday. (A dark colour so hotel staff don't mistake it for one of theirs.)

I have one and it definitely helps my face in the morning!

I’m in my 50s, a silk pillowcase stopped the creases entirely. I used to get really deep ones that would take hours to go away.

I get chest lines more than face lines, being a side sleeper. Not sure what to do about those.

Yes, they do reduce creasing.
I have them because of my curly hair. It did take me a little while to get used to the silk because I loved cotton pillowcases, but now I use them all the time.

Thank you everyone! I know what I’m asking for for Christmas now 😃
