What to wear to a fancy club for someone who doesn’t like heels

I’ve been invited to a fancy London members club for a Christmas night out. It’s one of those places that hosts very trendy parties for celebs. Not really my scene at all. I’ve just checked out their instagram page and everyone is very glam and all of the women are in very expensive heels.

I can’t stand heels. I don’t even wear them for weddings anymore. What can I wear on my feet that won’t make me look really scruffy or frumpy? I’ll probably wear wide legged trousers and a nice top. I don’t want to spend a fortune and buy something I would never wear again. Maybe a low heel would be ok. Help!

What shoes do you already own is surely the first question for this?

If you're wearing wide legged trousers presumably only the toes will show anyway.

So anything that isn't a trainer is probably viable?

Boots, flats, wedges? What do you already have that is comfy?

TBH- its likely dark and people won't be looking down to see your feet. Also, the people that end up in photos online, are likely the glamourous young things that can flit around in stilettos on 1 leg. I'm sure there are lots of others there in more sensible shoes. Enjoy the night.

I would look for boots with a pointy toe and low kitten heel.

I own some low heel black ankle boots that are very sensible and boring and are usually worn for work events. I have some black Chelsea boots with a very casual chunky sole. Other than that I live in trainers.

Kitten heels are apparently very in right now. Or a kitten heel ankle boot.
