A good ‘starter’designer handbag?

I’ve had a bonus at work and would like to buy something nice for myself with part of it.
If I had approx £500 would that get me anything lovely and classic?
what would you S&B aficionados recommend?

How about Aspinal of London? The Mayfair bag is beautiful, not sure if you are looking for a practical purchase or not? Alternatively - Vestiaire (pre loved designer site) have many higher range pre loved bags at around this price (Louis Vuitton, Gucci, YSL…) 😊 I have bought/sold many bags on the platform and have never had any trouble with authenticity before. I have the demellier Vancouver in toffee. It’s a lovely bag and I’ve used it a lot. No problems with scratching - although I use it for going out rather than every day

I love Polene bags and you could find a small Mulberry within that budget especially in the sale they have around now.
