Trainer alternatives to ubiquitous Adidas Gazelle/spezials

Could do with some trainers for going out in semi casual with jeans or wide leg trousers. I like the spezials and they are comfy but are they a bit of a cliche like a “midi dress and white trainers” of 10 years ago?

I LOVE my spezials! Most comfy trainers ever. My 20 somethings all wear Addias of various designs too so I am sticking with them for now.

Gola? I got some this summer and they’re really comfy and I like the fact that I don’t see often see someone in the exact same trainers. Teen DD is delighted that I am no longer have the same trainers as her best friend!

I love spezials. I don’t think they’ll ever be midi dress/white trainer calibre. I’m wearing Adidas Japan atm. I don’t see as many people with them and they’re so comfortable.

Also, don’t love a gazelle but do like a samba.

Any in particular or just Spezial - I can't try on in person , I'm usually a 6.5 but was going to go for a 7 or a 40

I love Golas but find them quite narrow. I'd size up or try them IRL if you can.
