Hair straighteners advice

My very old GHD’s have finally broken on me and I need some new straighteners. I’m a new mum on Mat leave so on a budget but I’m prepared to buy new GHD’s (or ask for Christmas) if people rate them and think they are an investment. Otherwise what other straighteners are fab please? I have long, thick hair and lots of it so need something decent. Thank you!

I have similar hair and have ghd's. Previously had Corioliss which are also good but think GHD are better.

I’m now thinking about Cloud 9’s instead if anyone has any experience of them? Thanks

I have recently bought ghd chronos… got money off as traded in my old ghds .

Game changer for me … transformed my really thick hair!

Remington Shine Therapy. Theyre fab and a fraction of the price of GHD/Cloud 9.

The cloud9 is much much better than the ghd, I own a cloud9. The plates on the ghd have changed and they pull on my hair. They also leave my hair feeling dry. The cloud9 leave my hair straighter for much longer and feels so smooth. From my understanding the original inventors of ghd sold the brand and created cloud9 (not sure how true this is).

Cloud9 all the way!

I also have Remington shine therapy large plate - I would really recommend - cost £30!

I bought DD a set of Remington ( she wanted some thin ones ) they were on offer on Boots and she is quite happy with them.

Christmas present hotbrush was GHD ( Black Friday ) but she hasn't used them yet

I have a pair of mini Babyliss straighteners probably ok for a fringe but you'd struggle to do a whole head with them

I replaced my ancient GHD with cloud nine and they’re the best straighteners I’ve ever had. They make going my hair far quicker and it doesn’t seem to frizz up in humidity like it used to. If they broke I’d replace them with another pair

I replaced mine with the MD London ones and they’re AMAZING. No catching, no snagging, smooth hair after one pass and they work perfectly on a much lower temp. I really love them.

Cloud 9’s are far better than GHD
