I ordered this cardigan. So cosy and warm but the buttons are a lot more sparkly than the photos show. Would you still wear in Jan and Feb? I need to make sure I get my wear out of it for the price.

It's absolutely beautiful and I can imagine how soft & cosy it is in real life! I don't think the sparkly buttons will be too 'festive' to wear at other times of the year, so keep it and wear it whenever you like OP

Alittlefrustrated · 04/12/2025 11:52

It's lovely. I've imagined the buttons as full on bling, and yes I'd still wear it through the rest of winter, for all sorts of situations.

Thank you for the replies, glad to hear the general consensus is good. I do find the material very comfortable but I’m not sensitive. I have a Gaspard as well and it doesn’t bother me but I would class that as quite itchy.

I think it’s very pretty and wouldn’t change a thing. Enjoy wearing it OP, you have excellent taste.

wand3rer · 04/12/2025 15:35

Or pick a colour with plain buttons. The copper one is lovely 😊

pigmygoatsinjumpers · 04/12/2025 16:43

I think the grey one is lovely.

theriseandfallofFranklinSaint · 04/12/2025 19:41

£115 !!! 😲

TheChosenTwo · 04/12/2025 19:46

It’s a nice cardi but it’s not remotely festive so I can’t see it will look out of place all year round!

Lastfroginthebox · 04/12/2025 20:05

It looks nice. I hate any sparkles but it doesn't seem too sparkly to me. Even if it was, you could still wear it whenever you wanted to.

Evergreen21 · 04/12/2025 20:32

I like it and would happily wear it all year round. You can of course dress it up or down depending on the occasion.

Corknut · 04/12/2025 20:55

Honestly no. I would get something more classic

MowingMachine · 04/12/2025 20:57

It just seems like - a cardigan?

Tryingatleast · 04/12/2025 20:58

Gorgeous cardigan op! I’d say not Christmassy either, will do all year round!!

Horses7 · 04/12/2025 23:31

It’s not sparkly enough for me - I wear sparkly stuff all year round (not daily but often) and have been known to garden in sparkles. Why not?

HappyFace2025 · 04/12/2025 23:36

MyThreeWords · 04/12/2025 07:41

I think the laws restricting sparkly buttons to certain months were repealed last century.
Even before that, they hadn't really been enforced since the Restoration.

We really, really need the laugh emoji back! 😂

Bowies · 05/12/2025 00:15

No, I wouldn’t (and didn’t buy it) for that reason - but it’s very much personal style and choice.

Olderbutt · 05/12/2025 00:20

It's fabulous as it is.....don't change the buttons....enjoy them!

Ruthietuthie · 05/12/2025 00:34

Do you really want it? It is more than 30% plastic. It won't last.

LucyLoo1972 · 05/12/2025 02:28

Yes it’s lovely

And?
OP can afford it, well done her

Doggymummar · 05/12/2025 06:42

If its not you get button covers. They work beautifully

Some plastics last forever (unfortunately).

Of course, she can buy what she wants, I know I do.

I just can't get over the price for a very average grey cardi.

Ohnobackagain · 05/12/2025 08:35

@Sapphire05 fine to wear any time. Before I saw it my first thought was to change the buttons, or get some button covers (if still a thing) but I don’t think it is necessary.

I see a lot of the other colours already have different buttons so can see how it will look if you decide to change them!

CurlewKate · 05/12/2025 08:37

Lot of money for a cardi! But I’d wear it any time.
