If you wear lots of rings - how did you build up your collection?

I just treated myself to a new ring! I love the look of lots of rings and I really want to build up a collection. I only wear yellow gold though and prefer real 9ct so it’s going to take me some time!

I’m really interested to hear how other people build up their ring collection?

I’ll attach a pic of my new ring, it might be awaiting review

I have platinum engagement (solitaire) and wedding bands (tiny pave diamonds) on my left ring finger. On my middle left finger I have a gorgeous ring from Heavenly I have been loving recently. Not real gold but good quality so hopefully will wear OK. On my right middle finger I have a Cartier Trinity ring that was a wedding present from my parents. Right ring finger I have my DM's engagement ring which is a sapphire flanked by two diamonds on a gold band (she and DF divorced when I was very young so she gave the ring to me in my early 20s). I LOVE that Liberty ring OP!!

That sounds like a lovely collection @Bbq1 ! Do you wear the silver ones on the same hand as the gold?

I do wear my silver with the gold and as it's sparkly with a, stone it goes well with my Diamanté ring.

2 the traditional way from finance then husband
2 joint purchase to represent my kids
1 from eBay cos I loved it - not expensive though
1 from Vinted - £15!!
Inherited 2 each from both Grandmas

I wear them all if I’m out and about and I love talking with my hands to show them all off!!

On my left hand I have a thin silver thumb ring, a silver sapphire ring on my middle finger and then my wedding ring.

On my right hand I have a red seaglass ring with an infinity ring stacked on top and a thin silver fidget ring on my right ‘ring’ finger.

I wear these all the time and don’t change them. The sapphire and seaglass rings I chose for Dh to buy for me for Christmas or my birthday, I can’t remember, my parents got me the infinity ring (my mum and sister also have the same) and I got the thumb ring years ago from an online jewellery maker and the fidgit ring from a different jewellery maker who I’ve bought a few pieces off. Love them all.

I have lots of rings; I love them. But sometimes I wear just my wedding rings.

I almost always wear a thumb ring, I have a few - some from Monica Vinader, a couple from Linda McDonald. I love dress rings too, my husband bought me 3 from Lisa Eldridge’s collection a few years ago and I also have the Monica Vinader ‘siren’ stacking rings amongst others.

My only issue is I have long, thin fingers (this is why I can wear thumb rings that aren’t marketed as such) and sizing can be a problem.

I like rings, and I like that Liberty ring, it’s really striking!

I have a collection of gifts and my own choices, and I chop and change which ones I’m wearing every so often, Ihave also started mixing gold and silver rings (because I only have three gold rings!). I only tend to have rings on my middle and ring fingers, because of the sizes of ring I own, and occasionally on my thumbs (but sometimes I find they give me a bit of nerve sensation while I’m driving).

at the moment I have my wedding ring (made from a load of gold I didn’t wear, and DH bought some new gold to add into the mix and we made them together, it was lovely!) and a ring I call my engagement ring, but I didn’t actually have an engagement ring and I chose and bought this one for myself. It has a silver band with a big cloudy emerald set in gold on it. On the right, a silver fishtail ring on my middle finger, and a copper ring I made stacked with a silver ring from a market stall.

Among the rings I rotate is a fat open silver ring with a turquoise and a coil of brass as adornments; a lumpy, melted-looking silver ring with a gold bead; more rings I made (I did a course!); a brass ring, a tiny pinky ring that I usually have on my top joint, and a ring I had for mu 21st made of white gold with a square emerald set into the band. And the best one is a ring made to fit with one my sister wears, we had them made from our parents’ wedding rings. I’d wear it more if it were a flat band but it’s wave shaped so limits what I can wear with it.

Rings I rarely wear: an opal ring, my granny’s diamond engagement ring, and a silver ring set with a dark blue sapphire I inherited from my mother.
