My husbands birthday is rapidly approaching and I am completely stuck with ideas. He's really into fishing and as his coat is dying a death and the other guys are taking the mick for being 'fair weather' im thinking of getting him some wet weather gear. Money is tight so I dont want to get it wrong so I have narrowed it down to the two attached. Any opinions greatly appreciated. Im stuck between ridge monkey or speero but I also dont want him to look stupid

TBH- I'd avoid buying anything for anyone with a specific hobby because they will know FAR more about it that you! I'd suggest getting a voucher for HIM to choose something or get something different all together not connected to fishing.

DH has recently started fishing, but strangely in a monthly, casual competition. I've seen all manner of kit from specialist chairs, to body suits, wind breaks, rod holders and far, far more than I personally have limited knowledge of. I've asked my own DH about kit and bits he might need, but it seems quite specific and my own suggestions are way off- in a nice way though. I'm personally not getting DH anything fishing related for birthdays/Christmas. Let him choose his own bits would be my recommendation.
