Hudson Grace scam warning

This afternoon I foolishly ordered a jumper from the Hudson Grace website and THEN googled for reviews (what an idiot!) There is a legitimate company called Hudson Grace but they just do homeware - the clothes website uses their name presumably to hoodwink customers who are sort of familiar with the name so trust it.

Anyway, trust pilot makes it clear the company is a scam, their photos AI generated and they dropship terrible clothes from China. I emailed within ten minutes of placing the order to request a cancellation, but obviously they have refused.

I will try a charge back with my bank once the transaction clears, but it was only £35 so could be a lot worse. Annoying right before Christmas though! While I probably will not get this money back, I just thought I would put a thread on here to warn people as I searched but couldn't find a thread on this company and I wouldn't want anyone else to waste their cash!

Just wanted to say the same. I ordered some tops for nearly £50 a few months ago. They kept sending emails saying it will be dispatched but when I emailed back asking where my goods were... nothing! Absolute scam, please don't order anything from this site, you will lose your money.

AppleBowl · 28/11/2025 17:45

Sorry it's happened to you to @TheGreyOrca - if the reviews are anything to go by, you might well end up with something absolutely dreadful turning up from China in a while. I only ever buy clothes from the same retailers (Next, Boden, M&S usually) and don't even buy unknown brands from Vinted so I don't know what possessed me to order this time without checking them out first - combination of it being payday and being fed up after a week of kids home sick so I felt frazzled and impulsive!

I think we need a thread about misleading/fake products and websites.

One of the best beauty products recommended in the BF sales, but when I put it in my basket, my coupon browser extension came up with a cheaper price on amazon.

On checking the details, that product was made in China. Rexamined photo which seemed to show an identical product, but one word missing. Honestly anyone could have been fooled if they had not read the product details.

This stuff is so hard to spot! A scam thread is a good idea.

To update, Hudson Grace emailed me today to say they've cancelled my order and will refund. Very unexpected given the reviews, and I'll wait and see if I do get the money back.

Atomic Shrimp on YouTube has several very good videos about how to spot and avoid this sort of scam company.

Same. Cheap scam these need to be closed down.

I am having issues getting a refund from Hudson and grace for a suit for my partner for our wedding, the bugget was tight but now even tighter as we wasted money of a pile of crap they sent which was not not the suit we though we was buying….not as pictured (false advertisement me thinks)….

@Fishcake86 but really, what were you expecting for £135? A decent pair of tailored trousers should cost at least that. Who did you think was sewing this 3 piece tuxedo, working in what conditions and with what materials? Looking at the photos, you haven't been scammed - you've got what you paid for.

Fishcake86 · 22/02/2026 17:16

@Wisterical yeh I should have been weary a suit that good (pictured) for a low price but whatever the price tag I should have been sent what I was led to believe I would be sent, they should use a picture of what they are selling, not use someone else’s pics of a far better item…I’m not the only one duped by them, trustpilot says it all so I won’t let you make me think I’m stupid or I deserve it….lesson learned and we purchased a tailored suit for £230 from a shop which I guess that’s why I believed the price with missing the middle man out of the transaction
