Gold watch for dd

I am clueless about watches.

My 15 year old dd wants a gold watch for Christmas - preferably with a rectangular white face.

My budget is £200-300, and I'm hoping to get a black Friday bargain

Are there any brands I should be looking at, or avoiding?

I assume she wants gold coloured not actual gold.

Have a look at Citizen eco drive. The eco-drive means the watch runs on daylight (it will go on for about 2 years once fully charged) watch batteries can be expensive.

OP if you do come back apart from Citizen have a look at some of the Swiss watch brands, Tissot and Bulova do watches in your price bracket, look for 'Swiss made' on the watch, that's the label that counts.

Watches saying 'made in Switzerland' are not the same.

You will also come across designer names in your price bracket, IMHO you are paying for the name of a brand and the mechanism isn't as good. And that's the bit you pay more for in a Swiss watch
