Oh wise ones. What skirt would go with a red satin blouse, black waistcoat?
I'm 5ft 2 and size 8. I'm a bit stuck. Oh, like cheese, I'm mature, 58.

Uhm 🫤 I’m struggling to not think ‘80s magician with that combination. Personally I’d lose the waistcoat and depending on the event go either denim skirt or red sequin for a glitzier occasion.

You could also look a black leather skirts with the waistcoat but not with the red blouse.

My mental picture was of Alex Higgins or Terry Griffiths. Smile

Yes … It’s not a great combination, @PruthePrune. Dated and hard on the eye.

Are you about to say it’s a choir / waiting staff uniform?

HAHA never thought about the snooker player/magician look. You are right. I'll have a rethink. It's just that I do love that red blouse, I'm a sucker for red.

I think even without the waistcoat, red and black is tricky and there's still a risk of being confused for a magician unless it's a very dark red. What's the occasion you're dressing for? Would a pair of bootcut jeans in a dark/indigo denim be too casual?
