Which colour TIGHTS with black tie dress? And what shoes if I CAN’T wear heels.

I’m going to a black tie Christmas party in a swanky castle. I have a long, gold dress, which shows décolletage but not much in the way of deep cleavage and has a subtle slit to the leg. I can’t find a photo of it as it is a Vinted number.

For anything else I wear thick black tights because I have a lot of scaring on my legs but I can’t get away with that for this event. Are thin black tights still a thing? Or do I have to resort to nudes?

Further question, I’m not supposed to wear heels due to needing a hip replacement in the next year or so. What kind of shoes would you wear?

I am having a bit of a panic as this is my first Christmas party after mat leave, I’ve put on a lot of weight and I’m not in a space where I feel excited about getting dressed up.
