Trousers madness

First we had wide leg, then barrel, then carrot and now horseshoe? Courtesy of M and S. They won't be doing my thighs any favours.

Not only that, they’re just so impractical! I walk everywhere and I was so cold last week that horror of horrors, I resorted to putting the skinnies back on! so much warmer than having a breeze up your legs and wet sodden hems.

Shops will always have things that aren't your cup of tea, it's no big deal.
Don't wear trousers (or anything) you don't like.
Don't wear trousers that drag on the ground.
If you do like something but are too cold, put a layer on underneath.

Skinnies don’t do thighs any favours, unless you are very thin, skinnies make you look like you have parsnip legs. However, we had so long of this being the only jeans shape, with lots of trousers similarly filled with stretch and super tight, we missed how bad they look on anyone with a bit of wobble or even muscle on the thigh.

OP - straight leg is what you need and are available. Leave anything more complex to the perfect of thigh.

Now you see I can't stand straight leg. To me they look the worst. They're in no man's land😂 They can't make up their minds😂 After many years of skinnies I'm firmly in the wide leg jeans and trousers now.

I never wear skinnies, Im thin but look awful in them. I nearly always wear straight leg and kick flares also look good. I just wonder what is going to be invented next 😂

Carpenter jeans are coming next apparently.

I love that there are so many different styles rather than just skinnies that seemed to go on for 10 years.

I had to look at horseshoe trousers too. They just look like barrel legged to me.

I've got some carpenter jeans! I'm usually in straight jeans, or skinny jeans tucked into boots. The wide legged varieties are not for me.

Let's be careful what we wish for. Or do we really want to go back to the days when there was pretty much only one style on the high street?

It’s finding footwear that goes with them that I struggle with.
