Just wondered where people are getting their tretinoin? I last got mine from tretinoin world but that seems to have gone

Those of you using the pure tret from pharmacies - do you find it harsh on skin? With dermatica the treatment had other ingredients to help moisturise and protect

It’s just a matter of introducing slowly starting with 1 night per week and building up. Using different application methods like the “sandwich method” which is moisturiser-Tretinoin-moisturiser (waiting 5-10 minutes after each), using gentle skincare, avoiding other active ingredients and ALWAYS using SPF during the day.
To be fair, this is also true of products like dermatica and others like it. Pharmacy Tretinoin is also almost always suspended in a moisturising base, so it doesn’t really matter.
Tretinoin also has an adjustment period. It’s often called the “retinol uglies” and can mean your skin can initially look slightly worse before it gets better.

If you can get from pharmacies abroad will save you so many ££. You can get without prescription anywhere in the Middle East or Egypt or turkey as already mentioned.

Breltrin · 09/12/2025 01:03

I get mine from Monderma for £18. Its vegan and with azelaic acid, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid.

GlassofRosePorfavor · 08/01/2026 08:29

I use allday chemist I also get other items such as glycolic acid and eyelash stuff. Also motillium (domperidone) ovestin and vagifem 25mcg. You csn get the one we get over here 10mcg but I prefer the old strength one and use once a week. I've used the chemist about 8 times now

eta I also get the tretinoin as well!

Where to buy Tretinoin and Adapalene

(i) Farmàcia Tristaina in Andorra is a very reliable source. I have been getting Tret from there for years . I used to get Retirides but that is no longer available through them. They sell tretinoin with hylauronic acid and /or azelaic acid and/or niacinamide. Also mix of Tret and hydroquinone etc . 6 month shelf life from date of opening.
cost £49 incl postage.
www.farmaciatristaina.com
email : [email protected]

Fast response to emails sent in English and easy to pay for items .

(ii). Adapalene cream or gel is available from Boots online pharmacy- cost about £28 I think

all of the above supplied in 30 gram metal tubes that are sealed. You have to puncture the seal with the cap.

I note that many women are buying several tubes of Tret at once in Turkey, Greece etc. Always check the use by date on the packaging as 1 tube will last you 9-12 months so buying 10 tubes isn’t a great idea. Retirides had an actual use by date as opposed to the number of months in a circle indicating the efficacy is only 6 months after opening or whatever.

Lostsadandconfused · 22/01/2026 12:17

I buy mine on my annual trip to Bali, about 10 tubes at a time. The equivalent of about 2-3 £ per tube.

I go through a 20g tube in a month or so, but I use it on my neck and chest area, very liberally.

I found the pure stuff way too harsh on my skin. It started peeling off so I went back to Skin and Me with which I get great results.

I thought skin and me us pure tret with the addition of other substances ?

I was put off Andorra a couple of years ago because of their payment system, which was by transfer. Can you use a debit card/credit card now?

Petitebird · 22/01/2026 12:53

I used Applepay - so yes.

A s far as I can see they are legit and I have never had any issues.

The pharmacy will give you a choice of a pay link that they send you or doing a bank transfer. Just checked the invoice and the cost of the product was €29 and postage was €20.

Hi - noticed the euro. Are you in Ireland? I was using Dermatica when I lived in England, but since moving home (Ireland) I can’t find a provider who posts to here! If you’re here too, what provider are you using? Thanks :)

Postage is a lot!

Petitebird · 22/01/2026 13:19

I am in England. Compare the cost of sending a parcel in England to another address in England by registered and tracked post - €20 (£17’ish) for postage from Andorra to England incl taxes is not that expensive. Anyway I figure it’s cheaper than a flight to Spain, Egypt , Greece etc and the pharmacy is reliable and the product is delivered to my door. It is sent by tracked post.

Try Farmàcia Tristaina as above. if they can post to you they will. They respond to emails quickly.
Other people have also mentioned other suppliers on mumsnet.

Petitebird · 22/01/2026 13:27

Cost of Tret in my earlier post

I paid €49 (not £49). Sorry about my mistake. I bought 0.1% Tret with 2% hylauronic acid.

Yes, you can use your debit card. Mine doesn’t charge conversion fees. Not sure if that is the position with other debit cards.

Just2MoreSeasons · 22/01/2026 13:28

Can anyone recommend I brand I could purchase in UAE? Thanks

UmberMoose · 05/03/2026 13:58
