I need to buy a smart black dress for a family funeral, which is proving harder than I expected. Everything seems to be black dresses for parties, which makes sense for December but isn't helpful for me! All my existing black dresses are either summer dresses (funeral is in the Highlands, so absolutely not workable unless I layer like the Michelin man), or have pattern on them. I have one possibility but it's got a wrap front, which tends to be overly cleavage-y on me and will risk my mother's wrath.
It needs to be plain black, winter weight material, and preferably a fit and flare shape - shift dresses don't sit right on me because I'm roughly an hourglass. Please help me!
